Match summary - Greenwich Borough (h)

We lost by three goals to visiting Greenwich Borough on Monday night, writes James Barrett-Sterling.

After getting back to winning ways last Saturday with a 4-2 win over Ashford United, we unfortunately fell behind in a 14th minute when a low free kick into our box was turned onto a post and Charlie McDonald - the midfielder whom bagged a hat-trick in the corresponding fixture last season - tucked in the rebound.

We had a goal disallowed in first-half added time - George Kamurasi spilt a 20-yard Jordan Cheadle free kick and Bobby Price pounced, only for his close range effort to be ruled offside.

Another free kick just before the hour led to Borough's second - the flight of the ball was tracked by the completely unmarked Mark Phillips and the defender side-footed it past the exposed Billy Bishop.

We had a fair claim for a penalty on 71 minutes as Miller got Cheadle away in some space down the left and his first-time cross seemed to be controlled by the arm of Tom Carlse, but the referee ignored the calls from both on and off the pitch,

A flying run by Ricky Korboa on 82 minutes saw him streak down the left before, following a small bit of luck on a block tackle, Josh Phillips and Mickel Miller combined to get Korboa in on goal. As Kamurasi rushed out, he unselfishly squared for Miller to roll the ball into an empty net but the linesman flagged for offside on the earlier through ball.

And our misery was compounded at the end as Jack Barham pounced on a hesitant Michael Aziaya, whom was last man, before rounding Bishop and slotting home Borough's third from a tight angle.
