Chelsea Ladies will entertain Sweden’s FC Rosengård at Colston Avenue on Sunday 12th February (kick-off 11am) as part of their warm-up ahead of a new Women’s Super League One (WSL1) campaign in April.

Blues manager Emma Hayes, fresh from guiding her troops to second-place in the league last season, will be picking a team from a squad set to include the likes of:

  •  Pacy forward Eni Aluko whom has over 100 caps for England Ladies and appeared on several television programmes;
  • Midfielder Karen Carney who has just been awarded an MBE for her services to football;
  • Exotic new signings Ramona Bachmann (37 goals for her native Switzerland) and Crystal Dunn (signed from Washington Spirit in the US);
  • Striker Fran Kirby whom cost Chelsea a British record fee and has been dubbed ‘Mini Messi’ by England Ladies manager Mark Sampson.

Chelsea Ladies also famously completed a domestic double in 2015, while FC Rosengård have won their domestic title nine times in total (the most recent coming in 2014).

Colston Avenue is no stranger to hosting women’s football as it currently boasts it’s own flagship ladies team, which has won several trophies since its inception in 2008, plus several girls teams across all age ranges.

"As a club we are committed to ladies football and there's no better way of celebrating that than by hosting two of the world’s best Ladies teams," said Carshalton Athletic chairman Paul Dipre.

"Having Chelsea choose Colston Avenue is both a privilege and recognition of the quality of our stadium facilities.”

Admission to Chelsea Ladies vs FC Rosengård is £3 for adults and £1 for children (under 18s), so be sure to get down to Colston Avenue and experience a fun day out watching two quality clubs go head-to-head.
