Match summary - Hythe Town (a)

We made it three wins on the spin as a dream debut for our new striker saw us ease past Hythe Town, writes James Barrett-Sterling.

Team news
New signing Omar Koroma came in as Raheem Sterling-Parker was suspended, while Ryan Healy replaced Peter Adeniyi in the only changes from Monday's win over Chipstead.

Kick-off
And it didn't take long for our new man to make an impact as, on 15 minutes, Ricky Korboa's defence-splitting pass got Mickel Miller in on goal and Koroma bundled home the unselfish square ball from six yards.

Our goalscorer almost turned provider minutes later as he latched onto Mohammed-Idris Oshilaja's long pass out of defence. He turned his man in the box and Korboa, whom had run in support, unleashed a first-time strike parried by Godman.

Godman was called into action again before the break as Michael Aziaya won possession inside our half before striding over halfway. He eventually threaded a pass into Miller but the home keeper blocked his shot over.

We almost made it two before the break as Koroma lunged in on an inswinging cross by Bradford but the ball cannoned back off the crossbar.

But there was some late drama before the break as Bradford looked to break onto a loose ball 30 yards from goal, only for Dickenson to come in with a high lunge. The referee had no hesitation in sending the defender off.

HALF-TIME: 0 - 1

The first chance of the second-half fell to Johnson-Palmer but Billy Bishop acrobatically palmed his close range header up in the air before smothering the rebound.

But we doubled our lead just before the hour as Town tried to play out from the back and Miller stole the ball. He stood up a cross to the back post where an unmarked Koroma side-footed a volley past Godman.

Two free kicks for Town gave them chances to put pressure on us but Bishop was in good form this day - he dealt with the first by punching the ball out, then he dove across to keep a header on the second delivery sneaking in at the far post.

We could've made it three with 20 minutes left but Korboa guided Bobby Price's low cross over the bar from about four yards.

Then, on a counter-attack a few minutes later, Koroma pulled out wide and played a through ball to get Miller a glimpse of goal, but Godman stretched out a leg to divert the shot off target.

But we did extend our lead with 10 minutes to go as Bradford got Koroma one-on-one in the home box and he curled the ball around both his marker and Godman to seal a debut hat-trick.

He wasn't done however - just four minutes later a long ball out from the back got Miller beyond the Town defence with the linesman's flag staying down. Koroma was in the middle and he dinked the incoming cross over the oncoming Godman to send our fans into raptures.
